Located on a street so quiet the only noise on the Sunday morning we first arrived was the ring-ring of the passing cyclists on the bicycle lane just outside the front door.
It wasn't only the cyclists heads that were turning as they passed by, so was mine. I'd heard great things about Hotel Granados 83 from friends and family in Barcelona - the location, the street, the decor, the stand-out appearance.
Dog-friendly, serving breakfast until 1am, flat-screen-tvs galore, comfortable leather sofas in the lobby, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the street in front, buddist artwork nestled in corners - it really is a treat of a location.
We particular like the location for the many bars and restaurants in the area, which is heaving with the young and smart locals of the city. We recommend a few restaurants in this area, particularly the very high quality (but reasonable) Gresca (but you must go for the degustation menu. We also give a nod to Cinc Sentits and Cata 1.81.
